Alvin, also known as Xiao Ming by his associates in China, is the founder and general manager of Shangrila Adventure. Alvin loves traveling and is very passionate for outdoors activities. He especially loves trekking and climbing, and believes that the outdoors is good for everyone. Since 2005 Alvin has been regularly organizing outdoor expeditions to China, especially YunNan, SiChuan, Tibet and XinJiang, as well as Central Asia.
Apple Liu
Apple, owner and manager of Dragon Expeditions, is as passionate as all of her staff about the outdoors and finds as many excuses as possible to get herself out of the office. She has been organising trips around Sichuan since graduating from University (with a degree in English Langauge), and founded Dragon Expeditions in May 2007. Apple has tried just about every outdoor sport going, but holds particular interests in ice climbing and mountaineering. She has taken part in a number of international caving and climbing expeditions and holds a high altitude climbing guide certificate.
Chuan Chuan
Chuan Chuan has been taking part in outdoor sports since he was 15. Another English language major with a passion for the mountains, he has a great technical knowledge and experience of mountaineering and ice climbing as well as experience in trekking and cycling. He hopes to make a career from mountain guiding and has already lead several teams to peaks over 5000m as well as two successful solo ascents of Luotuo Feng (Camel Peak) and Ban Ji.
DaDa
Da Da is in charge of our operations in Nepal. From trip planning to actual trip execution, she puts together all the necessary personnel and logistics to ensure a successful expedition in Nepal.
Eben Farnworth
Eben is from the UK and has aways been involved in outdoor sports and activities. He looks upon his time in the outdoors as a way of life; more than just as a hobby or a job. He has been on lots of trips and expeditions including: India, China, France, Italy The UK and others. He as been working in the outdoors since 2001 and has UK outdoor qualifications in Climbing, Trekking, Kayaking, Canoeing and more.
