Dragon Expeditions was founded by Apple and Matt Ryan in June 2007 with the specific aim of becoming the leading professional outdoor company in Sichuan. We provide a variety of outdoor services. For example:

• We lead a variety of guided treks at all levels of difficulty. Whether want a simple introduction to the outdoors consisting of an easy trek with a night or two in a tent then back to civilisation or a longer assaults on a 'trekking peak' with ropes, crampons and ice axes we can arrange it for you with our experienced qualified guides.
• We provide instruction in a variety of outdoor sports and rescue (specialising in Ice Climbing, Winter Mountaineering, Caving and Roped Rescue)
• We operate a small outdoor shop stocking a variety of specialist mountaineering, climbing and caving equipment. Our experienced staff can provide technical advice on all manner of equipment.
• We organise logistics for expeditions to Chinese mountains, rivers and caves, providing base camp services, vehicle and equipment rental and practical advice and local knowledge.

We also sponsor and maintain a repository of information about Outdoor Travel in Sichuan (mostly in Chinese at the moment), and are building a community based around keeping this information up to date and accurate in both English and Chinese.

For those familiar with outdoor sports in China you might like to be reassured that we are not:
